Community Day Centre
While home carers visit once or twice a day, the time between visits can be lonely.
At our centre, we provide a space for people to get out and meet others, helping them establish new social circles and enjoy companionship. This often leads to lasting friendships, enriching lives in ways that solitary living cannot.
Activities and Companionship
We offer a variety of engaging activities, from arts and crafts to lunch clubs and games like bingo. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. Through these activities, we not only foster community spirit but also provide opportunities for personal growth and development.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to eradicate loneliness within the community. By bringing together different generations and abilities, we create a unique, supportive atmosphere that promotes understanding, empathy, and connection. Join us in our mission to make a difference.
__Enriching Lives at Our Day Centres
Our day centres offer essential services that significantly enrich the lives of elderly individuals, making a profound impact, especially in these times. We support and assist older adults who live independently within the community, promoting their well-being in later life.
__Support for Caregivers
Our centres are also perfect for caregivers looking after relatives at home, providing them with much-needed “me time.” Caregivers can take a break, knowing their loved ones are in safe hands and enjoying their own time at our centre.
__Fostering New Friendships
Day services for older people help them form new friendships in a relaxed setting. With engaging activities, delicious home-cooked meals, and plenty of tea, coffee, and freshly-baked treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Services at Our Day Care Centre
If someone is interested in attending our day care centre, a dedicated team member will spend time learning about who they are, what they enjoy, and their individual needs. For example, someone living with dementia may find reminiscence activities therapeutic, while another client using a wheelchair may require additional practical support.
Taster Days
We offer taster days, allowing you to get a sneak preview of the enjoyable experiences available and see if our centre is the right fit for you.
Flexible Sessions
Our day care centres provide morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions. Local elderly people can participate in a variety of activities tailored to their interests, as well as explore new experiences. Our flexible sessions cater to individual choices, whether you prefer attending a particular morning each week or coming along every day.
__Puzzles and Games
Puzzles and games are excellent for keeping the mind sharp and encouraging social interaction. From jigsaw puzzles and crosswords to card games and bingo, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
__Quizzes
Quizzes are a fun way to engage the brain and foster friendly competition. Whether it’s a general knowledge quiz, a themed trivia challenge, or a memory game, participants always have a great time.
__Arts and Crafts
Arts and crafts provide a creative outlet and a sense of accomplishment. Participants can explore various projects like painting, knitting, pottery, and more. These activities are not only enjoyable but also help improve fine motor skills.
__Music and Singing
Engaging in music and singing can be incredibly therapeutic, especially for older adults. It stimulates the mind, improves memory, and boosts mood. Participants can join sing-alongs, enjoy live performances, or even learn to play a new instrument.
__Gentle Exercise
Physical activity is vital for maintaining mobility and overall health. Our gentle exercise sessions include chair yoga, stretching routines, and light aerobics, all designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
__Reminiscence
Reminiscence activities involve recalling and sharing past experiences. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with dementia, helping them connect with their memories. Activities include looking at old photographs, discussing past events, and storytelling.
